頑張れ日本!
After my return to video with “Vallejo in Spring” I decided to shoot the weeks Sonoma Drift as well. I was already going to go anyway since my good friends were out driving this week. The day turned out to be a lot more fun then I expected I had a lot more motivation to move around and try to capture some different things.
I’m still a little upset with the D5000 performance in this type of setting. The 24fps don’t do drifting very much justice and the picture quality isn’t very sharp, not to mention the amount of noise I get as the sun starts to set.
Regardless I tried anyway and here is the result. Set the the sound of The Go! Team which I found quite fitting.
What I used:
Nikon D5000 w/ Battery Grip
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 D
Zeikos 52mm CPL Filter
Targus “Really mediocre on sale” Tripod
I was thinking this episode might be a flop, but only 6 minutes in and its really good. I can’t wait for the rest!
I decided to head out to my local park and shoot some video for kicks. I’m lucky enough to have such a nice area so close to home. I learned a lot about the camera on the trip. I was doing so much wrong with the video settings last year, which was actually my first six months shooting. I tried to make amends to mistakes in the past and start the year on a good note with my first video of 2012. Shot in the Glen Clove side of the Benicia State park over the course of the afternoon.
